The Tobacco Treatment Center at Kettering provides
a comprehensive tobacco cessation program for
the tobacco user who has tried to quit multiple times
before, but failed and for those who have never
tried before. This program offers new hope for
the addicted tobacco user.
The KMC "Tobacco-Free For Life"
Program Offers:
- A professional staff of physician and respiratory specialists in preventive medicine and nurse specialists. Each staff member has prior experience and a keen interest in assisting the addicted tobacco user.
- Group therapy and consultation with program staff.
- Convenient evening hours program in your community.
- Flexible program with behavior modification for maximum potential success.
 Group Counseling
Is held at several Kettering Medical Center Network sites including Kettering Medical Center, Sycamore Hospital, Englewood Health Center, Conover Health Center, and Indian Ripple Family Health Center. Kettering Medical Center's tobacco cessation classes are ongoing, designed to counsel a group size of about 15- 20 individuals. During the course of the program, education and support is provided by tobacco treatment specialists (TTS), and other peers enrolled in the class. The group counseling also educates tobacco users about behavior modification techniques, Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), as well as other cessation aids such as Chantix, Bupropion, and Wellbutrin.
